Ali is our school peon. He is short, well built man. He is a Pathan from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. He is a very obedient and dutiful man. He is very noble and gentle. The headmaster and the teachers are pleases with him. He opens the headmaster's room and the staffroom early in the morning and dusts them. He also shuts both these rooms, when the school is over. He rings the bell punctually after each period. He sits on bench outside the headmaster's office. He carries out the headmaster's orders to the teachers. He also puts up all papers and applications before the headmaster. He also runs the teacher's errands. He takes the headmaster's box hoe and brings it back in the morning. He does a lot of work, but his pay is small.
